Cookie Policy
Effective date: January 1, 2026. This policy explains what cookies MagicTextTools uses, why we use them, and how you can control them.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. They help websites remember choices and measure usage. They cannot run programs or carry viruses.
Cookies we use
We keep our cookie use minimal. A consent cookie remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies, so the banner does not ask again. Google Analytics 4 sets cookies such as _ga and _gid to count visits and measure which tools are popular. These analytics cookies do not include your tool inputs or any text you type into the tools.
The cookie banner
On your first visit you will see a cookie banner. You can accept analytics cookies or decline them. Either choice works fine: the tools run the same way, and declining only means we collect less usage data. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your cookies or using your browser settings.
How to disable cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. In Chrome, go to Settings then Privacy and security. In Firefox, go to Settings then Privacy and Security. In Safari, go to Settings then Privacy. In Edge, go to Settings then Cookies and site permissions. Blocking all cookies may hide the consent banner choice, but the tools themselves will keep working.
Do-not-track
Some browsers send a Do Not Track signal. We treat a decline in the cookie banner as the way to opt out of analytics, and we honour standard opt-out mechanisms where they apply.
Changes to this policy
If our cookie use changes, we will update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will also be reflected in the cookie banner.
