Frequently asked questions

Does this replace every match or just the first one?

Every match. The tool replaces all occurrences at once and then tells you exactly how many replacements were made.

What does case sensitive mean here?

When case sensitive is off, "Hello" and "hello" both match. When it is on, only the exact capitalisation you typed will match.

Can I replace with an empty value to delete words?

Yes. Leave the Replace with box empty and every match will be deleted from the text.

Does it support regular expressions?

No. The find box matches plain text only, so special characters are treated as literal text. That keeps it safe and predictable.

Is my text sent to a server?

No. The find and replace runs in your browser, so your text never leaves your device.

Is this tool free?

Yes. No account, no limits and no payment is needed.
